Film Production - Graduation Project

Monday 4th April - Sunday 10th April  Second Week of Production! This week hasn't been very productive for me. Obviously each day of filming I do data wrangling.  I did however on Thursday begin to look at how I should approach the tone of the film. To my understanding, our main character, Colt, is unable to differentiate between real life and fantasy and often hallucinates so my thinking is to sort of have that dreaming/memory effect added to the scene when he's hallucinating. In the final Harry Potter, they utilise greens and blues to depict a bad time, sadness and grief. This is something I could look at adding in the colour grading process because our main character when in proximity to his home, is sad because of his bad upbringing. However, as mentioned previously I could use whites and greys to depict a sort of dreamscape for our main character and I'll look into adding a feathered white glow around our character.   

 Monday 28th March  - Sunday 3rd April Production begins! With Pre-Production coming to a close, we started Production this week. For our first day of Production we went to Hartsholme Country Park to begin shooting footage for scenes 3, 10, 11, and 12.  For the shoots I attended, I primarily took pictures for social media and behind the scenes. As you can see above I took some pictures of the crew as they worked. While Day 1 wasn't successful, it provided us with an understanding of how the landscape looked and how we should tackle the production going into Day 2. Day 2 started off a bit rocky. I left the house roughly 10 minutes prior to the time we were meant to be getting picked up to get myself food for lunch as we lived very close to a Tesco Express, as I left the house, Poppy and Ella arrived and I told them that I was heading towards the Tesco just to get lunch and it'll take me less than 10 minutes.
