Production begins!

With Pre-Production coming to a close, we started Production this week. For our first day of Production we went to Hartsholme Country Park to begin shooting footage for scenes 3, 10, 11, and 12. 

For the shoots I attended, I primarily took pictures for social media and behind the scenes. As you can see above I took some pictures of the crew as they worked. While Day 1 wasn't successful, it provided us with an understanding of how the landscape looked and how we should tackle the production going into Day 2.

Day 2 started off a bit rocky. I left the house roughly 10 minutes prior to the time we were meant to be getting picked up to get myself food for lunch as we lived very close to a Tesco Express, as I left the house, Poppy and Ella arrived and I told them that I was heading towards the Tesco just to get lunch and it'll take me less than 10 minutes. They weren't happy, and two minutes after the set time of departure, they left without me, even though I was two minutes away from them. This wasted an almost two hours of my time before Ella picked me up.

Day 2 was also when we first met our main actor, Danny. He was a nice dude, and again I did photography for behind the scenes and social media. I took a few pictures of Danny next to the tree with the intention of turning it into a poster later on. This day was much more productive.

Day 1 and 2 are the only days I attended as I felt that by attending all the shoot days, I would get fatigued and wouldn't do any data wrangling once we returned home from the shoot each day. This allowed me to focus on the editorial side of it and prepare for the income of footage.

Each day's worth of footage and audio would be transferred from SD card to my hard drive twice. The files would be sorted into separate folders for audio and footage.
