Monday 16th May - Sunday 22nd May Deadline Week - Crunch Time. On Friday (Deadline was 4pm) at 10am, my assignment extension was approved, moving the deadline to Tuesday 24th at 4pm. This week was the last week of Post-Production, it was very much crunch time. Tuesday I had the editing suite booked and went there with Corbyn and a friend of ours to work on the edit however not much came to fruition during this, trying to assemble scenes 9 to 16 on a small laptop with no mouse was a struggle. So I headed back home to utilise my computer and prep the timeline with scenes 9 to 16 assembled in preparation for Wednesday when myself and Poppy met up. On Wednesday we quickly went through the 1st timeline (1-8) to make sure she was happy with everything, there were a few notes but we decided that it was ready to be colour corrected/graded. This is the resulting structure of the timeline after the assembly had been completed. I had colour coded the audio for Corbyn as a way to reference wh...

Monday 9th May - Sunday 15th May Post-Production Week Two, Troubles Arise. As I moved into the second week of Post-Production, I have realised I heavily underestimated how long it would actually take to organise all the footage. The constant obstacles that I have faced, having to listen closely to what scene/shot/take each clip was and try figure out for the ones that either didn't have any indication of it's scene/shot/take or had the same scene/shot/take as another clip took a lot of my time up. However, thankfully I had finished organising the footage this week and was able to begin assembling the timeline. I decided that I would split the timeline into two: 1st timeline: Scenes 1 to 8, 2nd timeline: Scenes 9 to 16. Now the reason for this is I felt it would be more efficient if I got Scenes 1 to 8 assembled then as I began work on Scenes 9 to 16, Corbyn could begin sound design on the first timeline and then once he had finished that we would swap and I could begin colour ...

Monday 2nd May - Sunday 8th May Post-Production Begins! Last week we called a wrap on the production which now means the start of Post-Production, the stage of making a film that is mainly my job. For Post-Production I will first organise all the footage by renaming them by scene-shot-take (1-5-3), moving them into the correct scene folder, and then documenting it. By doing this, it will help me later on in the edit when I need to begin assembling everything. This stage (organisation) should have begun on Day 1 of Production to save time as we progress through Post-Production.   misc folder was for footage that had no indication of what scene/shot/take it was or it had the same scene/shot/take as another clip. On Wednesday I travelled from Lincoln to Norwich to see my family for the week and took my laptop and hard drive with me so I can continue to organise all the files. This took longer than expected because not having access to a mouse and only having a singular screen sl...
